Some people’s eyes water a little, especially the first few times — the formula contains cooling botanicals like mint and eucalyptus, and skin around the eye is sensitive. It usually settles with use. If it doesn’t, or it’s uncomfortable, stop using them.
On the skin around the eye — under the eye and toward the temple. Never in the eye, never on the eyelid margin, and never on broken skin. Remove them if you feel stinging.
Mostly practicality: overnight is when most people can leave them in place for 6–8 hours undisturbed. Daytime use is perfectly fine too — 2–4 patches for as long as is comfortable.
